Most of you know this, but it's Xander Harris, from Buffy.

It's a weird coincidence that Joss created a character that was basically the male version of me, and gave him a name that is so close to mine. But the fact that Xander eventually makes good gives me hope.

Day one of steroids for back. So far, back still hurts. I also have vicodin and flexeril, but I've been asleep all day so I'm not gonna take them again for awhile. The pain is not as bad as it has been, which may be due to the fact that I was up and around for a bit yesterday. Apparently walking around even though it hurts makes the next day hurt less if I stay in bed. Perhaps it's just a matter of comparison.

Anyways, just an update. I'm going to be in MA from the 9th to the 17th, and still have a ticket free for anyone who'd like to go with to Jenny Lewis.

I know most of you will not watch this, but I'm asking you to anyway. This man has an amazing vision. I know it's just a speech, but if you listen, within the speech are the seeds of practical things he is trying to put into action. He speaks of the people of the Middle East, and other countries with respect, as people who are possible allies in his vision, instead of enemies based on past mistakes and misunderstanding on both sides.

I seriously think this man has the ability to make the whole world, not just the US, a much better place.

No gender mention considered necessary. Sesame Street has always ruled.
